Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owned a 2017 ford f-250. While attempting to tow a boat out of the water, the contact applied the emergency brake. Suddenly, the vehicle popped out of gear and backed into the water. The failure previously occurred twice before and the vehicle was taken to sunrise ford (5435 us-1, fort pierce, fl 34982, (772) 461-6000). The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure at the time. The vehicle was totaled because of the water damage and the contact settled with his insurance company. The dealer refused to inspect the vehicle even though it was towed to them after the failure. The manufacturer was contacted, provided a case number, and stated that they would provide a written response in a few weeks. The vehicle was under warranty.
