Description of the problem | While driving the vehicle on highways/interstates between 60 mph and 75 mph i will hit a ridge or pot hole on roadway; vehicle will rapidly develop an excessive steering wheel oscillation (aka death wobble). Will have to slow down and almost stop before death wobble goes away. Vehicle has less than 27000 miles on it. This has occurred at least 10 times. The vehicle is all stock with no aftermarket modificatios and have had all rrquired services performed in a timely manner. The ford dealership where i purchased vehicle has performed ford's tsb 18-2268 on vehicle; this did not resolve the issue. The dealership has received additional procedures from ford motor company and have performed them; this did not resolve the issue. I have escalated the issue with ford motor company. They have assigned a case number to the situation; please contact me for the specific case number. |
