Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2017 ford f-250. The contact stated that while driving at 65 mph, the vehicle shook and the front wheels zig-zagged toward the right. The contact thought it was due to the snow on the ground but the failure recurred during normal weather conditions. The vehicle was difficult to control. The vehicle was taken to bob maxey ford dealer (313-392-9200, located at 1833 e jefferson ave, detroit, mi 48207) where the technician diagnosed and replaced the steering damper. The failure recurred, while driving 65 mph and as the driver attempted to exit the road the vehicle jumped the curb, zig-zagged until the vehicle was under control. There was no warning indicator. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact back to the dealer. The contact called the dealer and was not called back. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000. |
