Description of the problem | March 2020 my ford f-250sd with 27,000 miles began having the death wobble while driving on the highway in the steering requiring me to immediately slow down and pull off of the highway to stop and gain control of the steering. Ford replaced the steering damper with their recall, which lasted approximately 15,000 miles with the death wobble returning, with the same symptoms as before, while driving on the highway again. This time it required me to slow down and stop in the median area of the highway, which caused traffic to swerve away from hitting me. I went back to the ford dealership and they said that ford motor company would do nothing else to correct it. The death wobble has not been repaired on my truck which now has 40,000 miles on it and it is becoming more frequent. |
