Description of the problem | The steering wheel will start oscillating while driving straight, at highway speeds (approximately 65-75). The steering wheel will start vibrating and will turn into what has been termed the "death wobble". The vehicle shakes so bad that the only way to stop the oscillating is to slow down to 20-30 mph. The oscillating happened when hitting even the slightest uneven patch on the highway. It happened on the interstate as well as local highways. Some of these roads have very recently been reconditioned. Had there been other vehicles or towing, it would have been very to avoid a wreck as the oscillation causes the vehicle to want to move off to one side or the other and is very difficult to control. |
