Description of the problem | 2017 f-250 4x4 pickup experiences violent shaking in steering after hitting bump at highway speeds (death wooble). Happened while driving on highway and local roads at approximately 70 mph. I was able to regain control only by reducing my speed to approximately 40 mph on a busy freeway in the rain. More frequently on wet roadways. Occurred first time at 20000 miles. Dealer attempted repair and problem reoccurred at almost 36000 miles.; dealer again attempted repair and problem returned at 38000 miles. Dealer has replaced the bushings and different parts at each occurrence but problem keeps returning. Ford continues to allow the vehicles on the road when knowing the problem will return and attempts to mask problem with temporary fixes for their vehicles.. |
