Description of the problem | The instrument cluster and radio cut out frequently while the vehicle is running. This causes the speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, thermostats, and odometer to show there is no power to them and the needles rests as they do when the vehicle is off. The radio also cuts out during this time. This happens when the vehicle is stationary, moving, on city streets, and on highways. There is no warning when this happens. It will stay off for seconds to minutes. Currently there is no recall from ford. There is information on the internet concerning others with the same problem so this is not a single vehicle issue. I am currently unable to get a state vehicle safety inspection due to the instruments not functioning properly. |
