Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford focus. The contact stated that the transmission failed. The vehicle rolled backward while the contact was driving uphill. The vehicle also jerked when shifted from first to second gear and would lose acceleration power when driving in traffic. The vehicle was taken to the dealer numerous times for the failure. The dealer test drove the vehicle and was able to duplicate the loss of acceleration power only. The transmission computer was reprogrammed; however the failure was not corrected and the dealer advised the contact that the transmission was operating at normally. The failure mileage was 3,000 and the current mileage was 10,202. |
