Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford focus. While driving approximately 15 mph, the vehicle independently switched gears without warning. On another occasion, when the gear was switched into the drive position and the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle rolled backwards without warning. The contact also mentioned that when the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle hesitated to accelerate and suddenly jerked violently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but was diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 36,000. ...
