Description of the problemI have a 2013 ford focus se hatchback and as i was getting gas yesterday ( 8/8/2018) after i completed putting gas in my car and go to start the car up it started beeping and then i got a message that said transmission fault service now. So i took it to my house and noticed as i was driving the car that it didn't want to shift as it normally would and it was making a horrible grinding and humming sound coming from the front left side of the car as well as from underneath the driver seat area. Until yesterday the car has never made that sound before and i have owned this car for 1 year and this is the first problem that i have had other than normal ware and tear. I also got to looking and it seems that this is a common issue with this particular model of car. From my understanding it is a issue with the powershift that ford has been using and it can cause people to go thru about 3 to 4 transmissions per every 3 to 5 years. I do believe that this could be a very dangerous and very harmful malfunctioning that needs to be looked into.
