Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford focus. The contact stated that when attempting to accelerate, the vehicle would jerk and hesitate to respond. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnosis where the contact was informed that the software for the transmission would need to be updated. The vehicle was repaired. Eight hundred miles later the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the software was again updated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
