Description of the problem | While driving at 35 mph, the engine stalled without warning & would not restart. Dash displayed "engine fault, service soon." had vehicle towed to local dealership. Dealer checked the codes and found multiple engine controller faults. Said it was a bad wiring harness. This is a se model with 2. 0 l engine, but ford has a recall on the st model with 2. 0l engine for the same failure mode and cause (wiring harness). Ford did "participate" in the repair ($250 out of $1500) wiring harness was retained by owner for review and analysis.. |
