Description of the problem | Car shut off completely while moving 25 miles an hour on a local street.. Battery was functioning perfectly. When looked at by the dealer was told starter motor was dead, this also later confirmed by repair technician at another facility (riverside service). Starter motor would not have had anything to do with the vehicle shutting off completely while in motion. At the same time starter motor was replaced, 2 ignition coils were identified as failed or failing. In the last 9 months a total of 4 ignition coils have failed. Ford has not identified the problem with the vehicle, merely replaced broken parts. They have not addressed in any way the dangerous condition posed by my car's stalling on an active roadway. |
