Description of the problem | My vehicle was serviced under 18s32 for a potential stuck evap purge valve causing excessive vacuum in the fuel system. As my vehicle did not have a failed part at the time of the recall service, only a pcm update was performed. Less than 2 months after the recall service, the purge valve failed and caused random stalls of the vehicle, including while the vehicle was in motion. Ford claims the recall was completed and i, the consumer, am responsible for the cost of the repairs, even with the original part, subject to the recall 18s32, was the fault for the issue. I believe that the recall needs to be re-opened on all the vehicles that did not have the purge valve replaced and the part needs to be replaced to prevent future safety issues with the vehicle. |
