Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford focus. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was then informed by (rivertown ford 1680 whittlesey rd, columbus, ga 31904) that the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline). It was recommended that a diagnostic test be performed on the purge valve. The result was that the purge valve was intact so the software update would be performed. The software update was performed however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that the battery, idle sensor, throttle body control module and purge valve was previously replaced. The manufacturer was not contacted nor informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. |
