Description of the problem | From dead stop on slight incline the car starts normally and then jerks and hesitates while attempted to shift into 2nd gear. This has caused numerous close calls with traffic. During the shift from 1st to 2nd the transmission makes a very distinct grinding sound (some people have compared it to the sound of aluminum cans crushing). The dealer claims this is normal operation of their powershift transmission. I guess the engineers designed it so it makes this grinding sound during normal driving conditions. |
