Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford focus. While driving approximately 40 mph, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road, waited a few minutes, restarted the vehicle, and resumed driving. The contact stated that the failure recurred when the engine became hot. The vehicle was taken to the johnson city ford dealer in tennessee where it was diagnosed that the transmission friction element b stuck on, and the clutch engagement bearing and clutch levers needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact called the manufacturer and was informed that nothing else could be done. The approximate failure mileage was 73,000. |
