Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford focus. While attempting to accelerate from a traffic light, the accelerator pedal was depressed and the vehicle lunged forward and stalled. The contact stated that the check engine indicator illuminated. An independent mechanic was able to reset the check engine indicator and the vehicle operated for several days before the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed to upper marlboro ford (located at 5701 crain highway, upper marlboro, md 20772, tel: (301) 627-5600). The contact was informed that the transmission control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure on several occasions. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000. |
