Description of the problem | Takata recall. Engine stalls w/o notice, inside cab reeks of gas smell. Ford remedy is to keep gas tank 1/2 full. Doesn't work. Just filled up and still stalled while entering into the freeway. I did not use cheap fuel. Very dangerous and the remedy does not work. Took car to dealership twice now and they confirmed it's 1 of 10 focus on the recall. In other words 10% of their focus have this recall and symptoms. I called ford corp and they gave me 2 options, 1)drive car with 1/2 tank or more 2) don't drive it at all. I need it for work #2 is not an option. Ford will not give a loaner car even i told them their remedy is not working and can cause bodily injury or even death. |
