Description of the problem | The 2014 ford focus transmission control module (tcm) is defective. In 2018, the vehicle was at a stop light and when the driver began to accelerate, the vehicle went into reverse. Numerous reoccurring issues most recent was on or about 1/16/19. This is the 7th time the 2014 ford focus has been taken into the ford dealership for the same issues of shuddering, misfiring, faulty clutch, engine light on and tcm malfunction . Dealer service counselor/technician reports the tcm is defective and owner will continue to have this issue whenever the module overheats. |
