Description of the problem | I have a 2014 ford focus with an automatic transmission. The vehicle has 37,000 miles and has been in the dealer 6 times for transmission problems. The dealer has claimed to have replaced the trans once and adjusted programming multiple times. The vehicle continues to hesitate, jerk, and jump at times. Upon acceleration , this past monday at a stoplight, the car took off as normal up to about 15 mph and would not drive. I was able to narrowly miss being hit from behind. This vehicle has also lunged while in slow moving traffic several times in the past three months. Can nhtsa please have ford recall and replace this transmission with a proper, safe, and workable fix. I intended this vehicle to be handed down to my 16 year old daughter. Not now. Why is ford able to continue to get away with out repairing, or replacing the problem? They are rushing untested, unproven mechanical technology to market to make their fuel economy numbers at customers well being. Is this not fraudulent? Also, why do i keep getting letter from ford to trade my car in on a new vehicle? Is this fords way of getting out of the problem? If so they should buy this vehicle back at the price i paid for it. Thanks |
