Description of the problem | My ford focus drivers side door latch bailed. The door latch was recalled and i had all the doors fixed from the recall. The door would not close and latch properly. I had to hold the door shut to get back home. I went to the ford dealer later that day and the customer service manager said he didn't have the part but he was trying to get permission to separate the 4 pack of latches as part of the recall. If my car was fixed as part of the recall, why did the latch fail? They were able to separate the four pack of latches and fix my car, but i'm concerned this could happen to others, especially since there is a recall on some part of the latches. |
