Description of the problem | Automatic transmission shakes and slips when accelerating from a stop or when trying to accelerate after slowing below 3rd gear. Once the transmission fully engages it does so with force and jolts the car forward. This has happened on inclines, declines and flat roads while in city street conditions. It has not been taken to the dealer due to research has revealed ford has no real fix for the issue and will only re-flash the transmission programing in an attempt to remedy a mechanical problem. I started encountering this problem at about 10,000 miles and i am the first owner. |
