Description of the problem | Driving steady state on normal state highway road surface in dry daylight conditions, the vehicle began chiming and displaying a long sequence of error messages and mils. After a few seconds, speedometer zeroed and cluster lost power. Center stack then lost power. The vehicle had no exterior lights, no horn. Vehicle "believes" ignition is off, therefore no airbags. After pulling over and a key off/ key on, vehicle was normal for a couple minutes, then repeated this problem. Vehicle has been to 2 different dealers for this intermittent issue. First issue was with vehicle under warranty and dealer found no problem other than long list of codes. 2nd dealer in dec 2018 performed repair detailed on tsb to wrap chaffed wire. Problem occurred again jan 23 and 26, 2019. Additionally today vehicle will not start. |
