Description of the problem | When the engine gets to a warm temperature and then shut off and left for 10 or so minutes, when the engine is restarted, put it drive, within several seconds (15 seconds to 120 seconds) it will begin shuttering and die while driving. Restarting the engine after it quits (which takes about 2 seconds, longer than normal) will start and will again die when beginning to drive. I have been experiencing this issue for about 5-6 months on my ford with +/- 66k miles. The issue is getting worse and much more frequent. No check engine light or diagnostic codes are present. I have experienced this issue multiple times when turning onto a busy road and it is becoming more and more of a safety concern. I do not experience this issue following a cold engine start. |
