Description of the problemAppearlly ford motor company knew about apim system malfunctioning that they extended the warrant starting from 2014 for 5 years and didn't notify to the customers so after your warranty is gone the apim system will no longer work and by law all manufacturing need to notify of any abnormal situation on your vehicle. Their understanding is that this does not fall under a safety recall, but without having the speakers or sound working you will not hear your seatbelt chime you will not hear your motor senses chime when crossing a-line, you will not hear your vehicles chime reversing nor will you see your camera. I have seen 1000ths of people having the same problem and ford will not fix it because "their warranty has expired" they are requesting $1000 to fix it. Hopefully this can be announced for another customers before their warranty expires and they don't have to pay 1000 dollars like myself
