Description of the problem | The ford fusion on multiple occasions in the last 2 months has suddenly, without warning, lost full throttle power while driving (radio remains on), i. E., gas stops flowing into engine despite attempting acceleration, and the car will on its own come to a stop. So far, have been able to pull over without incident, but obviously it's very scary! This generally occurs shortly after the car has had ignition turned on while driving on road generally at low speed - don't want to ever experience this happening on a highway! Then i turn engine off a few seconds and attempt to restart - it often takes scarily longer after this power loss to restart, but it does restart. Could lead to life-threatening situations obviously! |
