Description of the problem | The purge valve went out on my car after never having any performance or emissions related issues. Upon researching, it seems to be rather common in ford fusions. Is there a recall review warranted at this time? I was driving to work and started hearing a loud humming, vibrating sound coming from my gas tank / gas cap area. It continued to hum every 15 seconds or so over the next 20 minutes until i arrived at work. There were no other issues and my car seemed to run just fine. This is, however, an emissions concern and seems to be common in ford fusion forums. Please investigate for a recall alert. |
