Description of the problem | July 29 2018 driving north on i35 near san marcus texas. Vehicle overheated and went into limp mode. Made it to firestone store. Ase certified tech. Diagnosed and found no leaks and determined that anti-freeze was more than likely being dumped into turbo which may possibly cause engine fire like the ecoboost 1. 0, 1. 6, 2. 5 and 3. 5 ecoboost has done and has been recalled. Also found that air filter was full of anti-freeze. Vehicle is currently at auto nation ford in south ft worth waiting for diagnostic after thanksgiving. I'm afraid to let my wife drive the car not knowing if it's going to burst into flames. Can you please let me know if a recall is soon coming on the 1. 5 ecoboost. Thanks for your time, jeremy |
