Description of the problem | After getting to my destination and pulling into a designated parking spot, i put the vehicle in park and got out. As i was getting out, the vehicle began to roll. I immediately got back in and applied the brakes. I checked to see if i indeed had put the vehicle in park and the parking indicator read "park". At that time, i engaged the parking break to keep the vehicle from rolling. Fault: "vehicle continues to move after being placed in park." after investigating the problem, i found out that ford had a recall (recall 18s20) for faulty shift cable bushing. I checked the shift cable bushing and it was broke. Upon checking with the ford dealer, they told me the vehicle wasn't covered by the recall due to it being manufactured after the recall ended. How can the vehicle have the same issue as the recall if it was manufactured after the recall? |
