Description of the problem | In october, 2018, the power steering began going out intermittently. Had it "repaired" at a cost of $1029. It began doing the same thing 6 weeks ago, took it in they say it is a different problem now with estimated cost of 2k to fix. Not having the money, i continued to drive the car and it did not act up until last week. It continues to go out, with no rhyme or reason, and when i stop, turn the car off and remove the key, then restart it, it fixes its self. I do not believe that something that was "repaired" in october can break again in a different way within a few months. Every time i drive i hope that the steering does not go out while i am in a curve, because that could result in me wrecking. There are so many problems with ford power steering that i feel this is a defect that should be repaired at no cost to me, until they actually get it right. |
