Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford fusion. While driving at 15 mph, the front driver side door independently opened. As a result, the contact's door slammed into the driver side door of another vehicle. No injuries were sustained. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the quarter panel on the outer part of the door and the front driver side door latch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer who confirmed that the quarter panel and all the latches on all the doors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the parts not being available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 14,000. |
