Description of the problem | My car has 64000 miles. Car was overheating and rough idle so we brought to the ford dealership and they said the code 0302 is a misfire on cylinder #2. They also said there is a hole is the block between cylinders now. There is absolutely no way this should happen with 64k miles and coolant level was correct. They mentioned the sleeve around cylinder 2 is too thin causing the issue. They also mentioned ford is aware of the issue as numerous complaints have been observed and ford's replacement engine has a thicker sleeve to correct this issue. The dealer also said they have 4 other fusions with the exact same issue. Now to replace the engine is over $6000 and again there is simply no way this should happen with a car with 64k miles. Very frustrated and looking for compensation. |
