Description of the problem | Brought car in for service due to check engine light and battery not charging. Replaced battery, but check engine light remained on. Again, went to get get diagnostic, resulted in needing catalytic converter. Picked up car and check engine light came back on. Returned to service next day. Diagnostic showed coolant leaked into the engine and head gasket needing replacing. The result is needing a new motor. This issue seems similar to nhtsa campaign number: 17v209000. My issue seems to be related to this recall on the 2013 and 2014 fusions. Ford is provided $3,000 for the repair due to me being over 600 miles over power train. My concern is the recall to the 13 and 14 fusion could be broader than those years. |
