Description of the problem | Operating under normal driving conditions vehicle brake paddle dropped to the floor when stopping at an intersection and vehicle took longer then expected to stop. Stopping at an intersection vehicle rolled into intersection. I was able to lay on the horn to alert other drivers and put on hazard lights. After roll at a stop i backed up slowly out of intersection and heard brakes cranking as paddle was depressed. After pulling over safely discovered ruptured brake line to forward left hand wheel and brake fluid sprayed on in side of wheel well. After towed to the dealership the service manger claimed he has seen multiple fusions, foucs and escapes with simular issues and says this is normal wear. I told him i want the removed parts and will hold them if needed for further investigation. |
