Description of the problem | I have received an "urgent safety recall" notification that the front driver side airbag infiltrator housing may rupture and deply abnormally in the event of a crash which could result in metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death." i have call ford and they report, in the face of a warning that this defect might cause death, that parts to repair this are not available until the 2nd qtr 2017. The also tell my the your agency has said it is ok to continue operation the vehicle until parts are available. How can i resonsibly put my wife, children or grand children in the front with this warning extant? What is the point of the notification if there is no apparent urgency to get the defect corrected. Seems to me either it is dangerous or it is not. This is wholly unacceptably. |
