Description of the problem | Takata recall - according to the nhtsa. Gov website, "in the subject vehicles, continued exposure to high levels of absolute humidity may cause the driver airbag inflator housing to rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental front airbags are designed to deploy." ... Since this recall was issued on 05/27/2015 and the remedy is not yet available, this problem has not been addressed in a timely manner (2 years next month)! My wife and i are extremely concerned about the safety of our son driving this vehicle (age 18). This is especially true because we live in the houston area and there is a high level of humidity here in this environment. I want ford to address this issue asap! |
