Description of the problem | 1995 ford windstar gl w/3. 8l engine - broken front stabilizer bar near passenger side bushing caused erratic and unstable steering response, and body roll. This could easily have resulted in a serious accident had the car been driven at highway speeds with the broken bar. Broken bar seems to have been caused by corrosion, and design deficiency as the original part, which was essentially a bent hollow-center pipe, has been replaced by ford with a solid-bar type design. *ak |
