Description of the problem | Starting in july 2013, after driving my 2010 acadia for over 90 miles and stopping it for an hour or so i restarted the acadia and the air bag service light appeared and stayed on. I stopped for gas after 60 miles and when i restarted the car the light did not come on. I stopped again after 25 miles and when i restarted the car the light came on. I restarted the acadia the next day and no air bag service light. This again occurred numerous times after a 1 hour drive or longer. Recently, october/november 2013 the air bag service light appears after much shorter trips (less than 10 miles). Up to now, when i first start up the car in the morning, the air bag service light does not come on. But now it comes on after more frequent stops and restarts. Current mileages 33,143. 3 year warranty period expired 5/2013 however, i have not reached the mileage warrant period. |
