Description of the problem | Vehicle is low mileage 62,500 miles just past 5 years by 3 months. Timing chain started making noise for about a two weeks and get louder and check engine light came on due to mis fire. Vehicle is driven by middle age female with not even a minor accident in 35 years. Vehicle was maintained with regular oil changes. No apparent reason for the timing chain to make noise to the point of misfire. Called dealer, bob ross gmc in dayton ohio on loop road and they refused to help out, claiming that it out of warranty, too bad sir. Called gm and was told same. We asked if they have any reported problem on same issue and was told no. Well, they lied to me or not even checking. I checked this site and there were three reports of same timing chain. Need to hold dealer and gm to own up to their defected parts. No rule made them to do that. I am voting with my feet. Never buy a gm vehicle again !!!!!! |
