Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2010 gmc acadia. The contact stated that the driver parked the vehicle, turned the engine off and removed the key, but the engine continued to operate. The battery cable had to be detached in order for the vehicle to power off. After ten minutes, the contact reconnected the battery and restarted the vehicle, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to a dealer who diagnosed that the ignition switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was scheduled for the repair. The failure mileage was 88,000. |
