Description of the problem | Car has been serviced regularly. Engine was running smooth. Drove approximately 30 miles on hwy to work got off on city street and car started shaking bad. Pulled over into parking spot and engine cut off. Wouldn't restart. Called towing to our repairshop. The first cylinder spark plug was bent resulting in major engine failure due to timing belt stretch. Need a new engine and found that this is big problem with gmc engines. Bought the car less than a year ago and it currently has 138k miles. 7k to replace engine including labor. Wow mother of 3 kids and i'm still paying big payment for the car and insurance.. So many complaints about this issue i just found out with gmc covering the issue up and not being responsible |
