Description of the problem | Brakes have not been working at slow speeds. This has been going on for a few years. Brought it to a brake specialist who could not find the problem. Researched it on the internet and found that many people were having problems with a similar issue. They thought it was a faulty vacuum pump. Brought it to gmc beaman in nashville, tn and saw [xxx] (service advisor for beaman automotive). They reported they were not willing to fix the issue and that it would be close to $1000 to fix it. I find this unacceptable after doing research and finding that gmc's parts (not wear and tear) are more likely than not the etiology of the problem. I ask that the dealership be contacted regarding this given the obvious safety risk of the large vehicle not being able to stop. Regards, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6). *tt |
