Description of the problem | This issue is related to stabilitrak, the onboard computing system. When on the interstate, loss of power can occur. Usually at high speeds, the power just 'flickers' on and off, some times repeatedly. The breaking mechanism seems to be somewhat affected by this. At slower speeds, the same problem can occur, but the steering wheel locks up and forces my truck to turn hard to the left. Each time the problem occurs, "stabilitrak error" and "loss of traction control" or something along the lines of "loss of power, danger" will appear -- although, it is usually just something relating to "stabilitrak". I've nearly been in an accident ~3 times. It's no question a danger to the driver and to pedestrians. Gm has been getting sued like crazy, and it's pretty clear they are avoiding this issue because of this. |
