Description of the problem | When the temperature drops below about 20 degrees (fahrenheit) the center instrument cluster starts displaying emergency codes that require constant clearing, only to have the error codes reappear. The same thing happens on the infotainment head unit in the center stack -- it flashes, resets, cuts the sound in and out and displays trailering checklists. All of this is immensely distracting to the driver and creates a safety hazard. I've had it serviced and have been told gm engineers are aware of the issue (its common on 2019 sierra and silverado 1500 trucks) but have been unable to find a solution. I have video of both types of errors. |
