Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2015 gmc sierra 2500. When the contact auto started the vehicle, smoke appeared from the rear window and a burning odor was noticed. The contact powered off the engine. The vehicle was restarted; however, five seconds later, the rear window shattered without warning or an impact occurring. The contact stated that the metal that heated up the window caused the failure. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired.
