Description of the problem | Upon entering garage, smelled odor of gas by car... Looked underneath,,small puddle of fuel,,closer examination found pinhole in rust patch on fuel line.. Other rust areas noticed, but this was only leak. Corrosion is to be expected. But not to the point of failure after only 4 and one half years.. Car was bought new and well maintained ,also always garage kept. Being out of warranty (of course!), i had to negoitiate with the dealer for a decent cost of the repair.. I believe inferior quality is to blame and believe this can and will happen to others, hopefully without serious consequences... |
