Description of the problem | My family and i were driving back home from montgomery al and our gmc terrain sle 2013 suddenly just turned off. We had to have it towed home and after our mechanic looked over the car he came to the conclusion that it was the timing chain and do to the type of engine it would have damaged values and possibly the heads and that it would be better to replace the whole engine. After doing my own research i found out that this is a known issue with the gmc terrain 2. 4l 4cly engine timing chain breaking.
