Description of the problem	I have been having oil consumption problems for the 11 months before the engine quit working as soon as i pulled out of a shopping center. I contacted gm to see if anything could be done. I had the car towed to a certified dealer to have them look at it and gm knew i had 124,000 mi on the engine. They still wanted me to bring it to them, for them to let me know they weren't going to help or pick up anything. I owe 9,000 on the car and thats what they want to charge me for a new engine. Tried going to another dealership to try to trade car in and they want me to pay almost 600 a month compared to my 225 now! No help where ever i go... Before, i went to dealer and gm i tried to fix it by changing out alternator, spark plugs, new battery and q new timing chain. When, we took top of engine off we found the fourth of july under the hood with roller bearing and rockers exploded everywhere along with the chain guard was wedged between gear and chain.
