Description of the problem | The new 2015 vehicle freezes up in full time 4wd mode and will not shift out. The dealer indicates that it is a "known problem by gm" and that they are "working on it". Their fix at this point is to have you run the vehicle in 2wd mode which is an obvious safety issue during our winter months as it is then a rear wheel drive vehicle being driven on icy roads. The other fix is to run it in 4wd mode but turn it into 2wd mode every time you turn the vehicle off. Obviously, many drivers will forget to do this and therefore my family at times is just running it in 2wd mode thereby incurring a risky driving situation. Despite numerous discussion, i have not been able to get any information on when the vehicle will be fixed. |
